Hello! My name is Diego Mateo Hernandez Diaz, and I am the owner and founder of Kenwoods Auto Detail.

I have always believed that success is built on the pillars of discipline, honesty, and hard work. As a first-generation student chasing the American Dream, I view my education as the foundation of my business philosophy. I am a proud Santa Monica College alumnus, where I earned three associate degrees with a 3.7+ GPA — a testament to my dedication to learning. This path has led me to my current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Data Analytics at CSU East Bay, where I am maintaining a 3.8+ GPA. I am also honored to be a recipient of the Sharer Scholars Program scholarship, which recognizes leadership potential and academic excellence, and has further fueled my drive to excel. Through my studies in finance, economics, and data-driven accounting, I have gained a deep understanding of how global financial systems operate. These classes have equipped me with the fiscal knowledge and strategic mindset necessary to lead a profitable, sustainable business.

My commitment to excellence extends into my professional life as an Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium of Santa Monica. In this leadership role, I have learned that the success of any organization — whether a learning center or a detailing company — relies on high-functioning systems, clear operational standards, and seamless teamwork. I bring this same standard of professional rigor, meticulous attention to detail, and dedication to customer service to every vehicle I work on. For me, detailing is not just a service; it is the practical application of the values and professional standards I strive to embody every day.

When I'm not studying or working, I enjoy staying active in the gym, continuously learning new skills, and finding ways to improve both personally and professionally. I believe that growth comes from consistency and hard work, and I strive to become a little better every day.

My goal is to take over West LA and become the number one detailer. I set out to build a reputation that speaks for itself — one vehicle, one customer, one neighborhood at a time — until Kenwoods Auto Detail is the name that comes first when West LA needs premium detailing.

I started Kenwoods Auto Detail because I've always wanted to be my own boss and love the idea that the more you put in, the more you get out. With Kenwoods Auto Detail, all of our efforts are recognized and I get to exercise my entrepreneurial spirit. My goal is not simply to clean cars, but to provide a dependable, high-quality service built on honesty, attention to detail, and respect for every customer.
